    First, you want to ice it frequently and/or put it into a brace. After the intial pain is gone, it’s smart to start playing with a string dampener. A good string dampener helps a lot, like the ‘Gamma Shockbuster’. It’s the one that looks like a worm and you hook it up under the bottom horizontal string. Also, a bit of stretching around the arm/elbow area before playing tennis might help.

    Tennis elbow is caused by overuse, poor form or faulty equipment. Assuming it’s not overuse, try seeing a tennis pro to help with your form. REST if you can, use an arm band that keeps the muscles from fully contracting on the forearm. If you don’t want to rest then take ibprofen or aspirin before playing to ease the pain. As far as equipment goes, those vibration dampners do absolutely nothing! Use a heavier racquet, slightly oversize and flexible.

    you have to stop playing tennis, ice it every night for about 10 minutes, it will be gone in 2 weeks, p.s. it is caused by bad form

    BTW…there are a lot of bad answers on this thread.

    Tennis elbow can only be gotten rid of through rest.

    Anti-infls can help…but those only help with pain…don’t get rid of it.

    Best advice. Rest your arm…take 1-2 weeks off.

    Then strengthen your forearm muscles. Tennis elbow is caused by you doing something with your strokes that your arm strength can’t "handle".

    Doing wrist and forearm exercises to increase your forearm stability and grip while reducing the elbow torque (which is what causes it) will help.

    Ask around..people who play tennis a lot do not get tennis elbow because their muscles have developed to handle their type of strokes.
