I was arm wrestling a very strong friend when I heard a loud pop. Very sore on medial side of my elbow?

Very sore only when I lift weights or do hanging exercises. Any idea what damage I have done?

Tendons move out of place when you use a joint. Sometimes it makes a pop noise when the tendon returns to normal position. In your case, it may have involved trauma to the tendon or tendon sheath, which involves inflammation (tenosynovitis or tendinitis), and some swelling and pain. Just take it easy while it recovers, and if it continues to bother you, have a doctor evaluate it.

could have popped your elbow out or something. Get some x-rays to be on the safe side

It will stay like that for a while. Dont over exert it, and in time it will heal. no need for a costly x ray.

Assuming you still have a full range of motion, I’m thinking you probably moved a tendon or ligament the "wrong way". If it slips over the bone in the wrong way, you can hear a pop, like a rubberband. It can do microscopic damage to the soft tissue which will cause soreness. It will eventually heal. Don’t really "baby" it – but don’t do anything that causes extreme pain. You can use ice if you see fit.

if you can move your elbow, then you are good nothing happened, but you can not move around your arm. you need a doctor

this is very common in armwrestling when you are in a bad hooking position pushing to much sideways i have done this twice it is not fun sillyme is correct to not baby this you should still be able to do hammer curls i wouldnt suggest heavy weights dont arm wrestle for a good deal of time 3 months depending on how you treat it 3 months may be fine good luck dont let this experience scare you from arm wrestling again though all arm wrestling injuries are from bad body positioning both times it happened to me i was pushing my self past what i should have….. got 1st place first time it happened!….sacrifices
