How do i prepare for tennis tryouts that are March 10 2010 ? include any known exercises as well?
I am a 14 year old that loves to play tennis my high school is having tryouts, and i want to make it to the team. I took lessons from the student coach for my school he was in the school a few years ago. But i played in the summer (which was a few months ago) and i am afraid that i have lost my "skill" in playing
If you could please include tips on how to start working out and getting prepared for the tryouts

Warm-up with some footwork (jog around the courts, jump rope, etc). Hit with someone inside the service boxes, forehands and backhands. Do not start out hitting full court; you may pull a muscle. Then, go back to the baseline. Warm-up forehands and backhands. Work on cross-court and down the line shots, half court. Warm-up your serve. Only second serves. Keep it slow to stretch out your muscles and joints. Then, take some volleys. Either have someone hit to you or against a wall. Again, keep it slow and solid. Tryouts are not for put-aways. Just keep everything controlled and consistent. Good luck!
stretch your arms and run a lap around the court
practise your four hand and backhand then you serving and your volley
and just play Little tennis matches with Friends and yeah that should work.
Within one monh time, sharp your forehand and backhand baseline strokes. Across court and down the line. Net volley forehand and backhand. Overhead smash and serve.
Enjoy your tryout and good luck.
