is it normal for my lower biceps and brachialis area (near my elbow) to be sore after i worked out my back?
I went to the gym and worked out my lower back and i guess back in general, i can definitely feel it in my back, but i also feel extremely sore around my biceps (closer to the inside of my elbow) to were it is quite discomforting to extend my arm. Did i work out wrong… or is this normal?
its not my elbow itself… i definetly can tell its in my muscles … i guess i should of said proximal to my elbow (not the elbow itself)
ok, i DO feel it in my Lats, just more yesterday than today… so i guess my form was ok, but i’m sure it could be better. I’m not used to using weights in my work out rutiens so i might have overcompinsated with my arms. but i tried to make sure i was tightning my back muscles as i did my "wide grip Lat pulldowns" and "One-Arm Dumbbell Rows" thanks for your answers. i’ll keep this in mind

The biceps (brachialis, brachioradialis) are part of your back’s muscle synergy.
Most pulldowns and rows are also working your biceps.
What you explain could be a problem if your biceps are sore and your lats are not, this would mean your form is incorrect and you’re overtraining your arms which are synergists and are not supposed to be prime-movers.
You should also make sure you exercise through full range of motion. If you are performing your back exercises with full range of motion be sure not to hyperextend your arms (snap).
You may not feel your elbow is in pain now, but repetitive stress can lead to problems such as tendinitis.
this is normal. just something thats not wanted. i’ve had this problem too, but with my wrists. by the way this sounds, you might have tendonitis.
Tendonitis is the inflammation of the tendons in your elbow. its a permanent condition, and it will always hurt. if there is redness, swelling, soreness, or pain in your elbow, contact your doctor. they won’t be too helpful, but i would say take 2 aleeve twice a day, ice your elbows 3 times a day for 20 mins, stop working on your lower back for a bit, and buy elbow wraps so it won’t hurt as much when you work out
