Jump rope! Very essential for tennis training. I jump rope for 45 minutes everyday. That’s harder than playing a 3 hour match and it definitely helps you stay on your toes during a match.

Suicides (sprints) are also very good for training. Tennis is all about changing directions in a split second so suicides are very useful.

Also you should have a strong core to play tennis. The core is center of your body, which is used for everything in tennis, especially the serve. So training for the core would just be sit ups and crunches and other ab workouts.

    Drills. Match Play. Medicine Ball.

Do sprints. Speed and acceleration is very important in tennis, just look at Nadal. He would have never been in the Top 5 if it hadn’t been for his speed.

Medicine balls are very useful, do pull ups and push ups to increase upper body strength, and run on elliptical trainers. Elliptical trainers increase your arm muscles and your leg muscles. Very nice workout.
