My dog has a sore on her elbow!?
My dog has this weird sore on her elbow (right next to the callous like patch thing she gets from laying on the floor). It doesn’t look good and she has been licking it for about a half hour. We don’t have any emergency vets here and I’m really worried about it! and yes, it’s gross, but I took pictures……

It’s not the dark callous thing, it’s pink and raised and looks almost infected….

You don’t need to take her to the emergency vet. Your pictures are blurry so it’s hard to tell, but it could be that the sore is from her licking the area excessively. clip the hair around it, if possible, clean the area with soap, H20 and some hydrogen peroxide, If you see something like a sliver or burr, try to remove it. If not you might want to wrap it with some gauze to help keep it dry. You can also put some baby butt paste on it to help clear up the infection prior to wrapping.
If you don’t see an improvement within a couple of days, I would recommend taking her to your regular vet to ensure she isn’t have an issue with her joint in that area. Often dogs will lick an area that is painful for them causing lick lypoma, which is kinda what it looks like, but like i said, it’s hard to tell from the picture.
