How to treat Tennis elbow?

Over a week ago, I hurt my elbow lifting weights and was diagnosed the next day with Tennis Elbow. Doctor only gave me pain medicine and told me to get a wrap over the counter. The pain has since subsided, but there is still some discomfort. How long should I take off before I resume lifting? Should I lift as much as I can, even if there is a small amount of discomfort, or will this hurt it further or take more time to fully recover? Will it ever fully recover?

The recovery time can last from a couple of weeks to a month depending on how severe your tennis elbow is.

What you need to be doing are some exercises that strenghten your tendons and ligaments so that when you go back to lifting weights they are strong and can support your muscles.

Also when you resume your weight lifting routine make sure you are using the correct form.

Wish you good luck on your recovery!!

If you aggravate the problem it will never heal, so no lifting until you fix it.
