The pain associated with Tennis Elbow is caused by inflamed tendons. The best thing to do to help the pain is to get an AIRCAST arm brace. It will create a ‘pressure break’ that will keep hand and wrist movements from irritating your elbow. When not playing tennis you can also wear a neoprene brace that will help it heal faster. Raising up above your head as another post suggested will do nothing. Ibuprofen will help as it is an inflammatory. Now here is the most important thing you can do that will help it heal. take a rather heavy rubber band and "web" it around your fingers on your damaged hand. Hold your arm straight down and put all your fingers together and open then up…and back….open and back to fingers together. Do this about twenty or thirty times smoothly..not fast. The tendons that are inflamed start at the back of the hand and lead up the elbow area. This exercise will strengthen those tendons. Do it about 3 to 5 times a day. DO NOT DO SQUEEZING EXERCISES!!! Some will suggest you do this but it will only make it worse!! And yes…give it as much rest as you can with warm moist heat if possible.
    Good Luck!!
