why does my elbow hurt after i throw a football?

I’m going into ninth grade this year and I’m playing football. in 7th and 8th grade i had to play wide receiver even though i really wanted to play quarterback. I can throw a football 50 or so yards but ever since i entered the 7th grade i can’t throw a football more than once before i get severe pain in and around my elbow. what is going on??

There may be some problem with your elbow’s bones or ligaments. You must consult bones physician for better answers.

i dont know if this would be any help but you could try looking up tennis elbow (yes there is such a thing and it has nothing to do with tennis)

im going into ninth grade now and i had the same problem…but its gone now..it has something to do with the switch in size of the footballs. Needing to put more pressure behind the ball because its larger can hurt your arm if ur not use to the size. Its should go away within about a month.
