I got tennis elbow 1 yr ago but it hasn’t completely healed yet.help?
Hey,
I got tennis elbow 1 year ago(due to playing badminton excessively).I had to take ultrasound radiations, massages and had to wear a band on my arm which restricted movements.Thing is,I had it on my right elbow(I’m right-handed) and had to give numerous exams the month after that(writing was very painful but oh,well) - so I couldn’t give it much rest and one year after I got it,it still acts up now and then on application of least pressure for more than a few minutes.Doc keeps saying I need to give it time and rest - time I have, rest I can’t give(again,I have to write in classes and give tests/exams all the time).I’m more than worried now coz I’m really into sports and I need a strong right arm.Can any1 tell me abt some good exercises or therapies that can help strengthen my arm faster or atleast better?
Thnx!

use a stress ball to grib it and use bands to resist extension of the wrist. ice it and if NSAIDS are good (non steroidal anit inflammatory drugs). frictions of the tendon help change structure of scar tissue aswell
I had this about 7 years ago. I understand your pain. I went for cortisone shots, which did NOTHING and wore that band also for months. I still have the ring around my arm from wearing this. I visited a chiropractor to try and help relieve the pain. We had a visiting guy from Raleigh, NC who did pressure points and some type of body work. He did his thing, found my pain, and I was pain free in about 15 minutes. I was so amazed. I will try and contact him and ask how you would find someone in your area. Please email me, and I will send you information once I get it.

Exercise isn’t going to help. Rest is the only way to completely heal "tennis elbow".
