The exercise my Dr. gave me was to tie a can of soup onto the center of a broom handle with about 24 inches of thin rope then with palms facing down turn the broom handle away from yourself till the can rises to the top. Then do the opposite to lower it. Ibuprofen for pain & inflammation. Cold for swelling. Heat brings blood to the area so you don’t want that. Wear an elbow brace. Rest it when possible.
Tendinitis in the elbow and forearm is caused by a weak muscle about the size of a quarter. Sports stores sell a nice device to work this muscle and therefore relieve the tendinitis.
Or, hang your wrist, palm up, over the end of a table and do reps with a 5lb weight. You will see the muscle being isolated and worked.
Take ibuprofen for pain and inflammation
Initial treatment includes:
* Avoiding activities that aggravate the problem
* Resting the injured area
* Icing the area the day of the injury
* Taking over-the-counter anti-inflammatory medicines
If the condition does not improve in a week, see your doctor. You may need more advanced treatments, including:
* Corticosteroid injections. Corticosteroids (often called "steroids") are often used because they work quickly to decrease the inflammation and pain.
* Physical therapy. This can be very beneficial, especially for a "frozen shoulder." Physical therapy includes range of motion exercises and splinting (thumb, forearm, bands).
* Surgery. This is only rarely needed for severe problems not responding to other treatments.
nothing but rest man you can’t power through it got to rest it working it only makes it worse for longer.
give up tennis
Physical therapy is the only one that I know of, but if you find a better on, let me know.
