Forearms hurt from lifting?
Alright, i’m 14 years old in high school. and i have lifted before with my brother when i was 13 but i barely got any results cause i didnt eat enough and wasn getting enough protein and would skip days, etc. so anyway, during the summer, i went to lift for one day. and i didn’t feel like i was over working myself, but the day after my upper forearm started hurting. like right at your elbow area. if you put your arm out straight, palms down, your forearm muscle will stick out, and thats where it hurt. so i had to keep my arms at a 90 degree angle for like 3 days cause it hurt to put them down. my brother said i hyper extended and thats why it hurt. and it was something called "tennis player’s elbow" or something like that. so i started lifting again 4 days ago, seriouslym like i know all about protein after wokrouts and form and all that. and the same spot hurts again. not nearly as much as it did months ago, but when i extend my arms down, i feel a pull in my upper forearm. what is it?!?
i stretch between exercises, i stretch and warm up before, and cool down afterwards. and i feel fine right after. when i went with my brother when i was 13, i went for like a month and a half and i didnt feel any pain at all. wtf is up?!

Let the pain calm down and go away for about a week. You are more than likely starting out too heavy. Yes, I know, you are a good strong young man and can lift the weight, but your body is telling you to cut down just a bit. Start out at about half what you are working with now, just do a few more reps. Stretch those muscles and get them LONGER with less weight, more reps. In a week, add five pounds…. In another week add five more… Just slowly work your way up. It may sound weak, but it works. This is what Pilate’s classes teach, and it works for gaining serious tone and muscle. Tennis elbow will follow you for life, if you continue to blow that group of muscles out. There are also these elbow supports you can buy (say at Walmart) in the pharmacy where the ace bandages are. It is just a simple little black velcro band that you put at the base of your elbow, and it helps support you until the pain stops. GOOD LUCK!!!
