First treatment is rest and ice.. Try to do as little as possible with your bad arm…including restricting internet use. You must stop doing whatever caused the overuse injury for at least a week or two. Then slowly start to do the activity again a very little bit each day so as not to re-injure the elbow…if this does not help after a fortnight go to the doctor and see about a cortisone shot…they stop the pain nearly immediately however you still need to rest the arm for a few weeks to allow it to heal. Its an overuse injury so rest and proper ergonomics in all siutations helps alot.

It’s probably best if you go and see a physiotherapist or a massage therapist to treat this because its a hard injury to try and fix yourself. Otherwise heat packs are always good for temporary relief and some strengthening exercises for the muscles in the elbow area.

I had tennis elbow thanks to boxing on the Wii!! I tried the anti-flammatory meds, and they helped a little. The best thing I did was to get a shot of steriods in my elbow. It was not the most comfortable thing in the world, but that along w/the anti-inflammatory meds, and a brace, have helped immensely.
