how can i heal my hurt wrist? i play tennis 5-6 days a week, and its been hurting for about a month?
it almost feels like tennis elbow, or at least how it is described, but it hurts when i swing, or just move it up and down. should i wear a brace for a while and see if that helps?
heres the thing. this is my major tennis season, and i cant stop, if i stop i wont get scholarships for tennis for college. i took aleve before practice today and it helped and i got a brace. will it help it at all? i also talked to the nurse at school who suggested the brace
sorry- i know it sounds stupid to risk the rest of my playing career. i will take it easy, thank you im just rediculously scared that i will never be able to play again. ill work on stretches, plus this week is tryouts, and im already on the team, so i can take it easy. im just stressed sorry for the snap

I used to have the same problem but it wasn’t playing tennis… I would rest my wrists for a week or two while using the R.I.C.E. (Rest, Ice, Compress, Elevate) method. You could also try wrist exercises (using the the grip strengtheners or just wrist curls with a 5-10 lb dumbell). I hope I helped.
You need to take a break for a while to let it heal
See your doctor and let him make that decision.
Well duh, stop playing for a while…
this is a very common injury for tennis. all you can do is try to rest it or when you play tape it up. you can also take medicine for the pain.
I play tennis too and i know how wrist can be sore
trust me
First of all i would wrap it up in maybe an ace bandage wrap
it may not seem like its helping a lot but its atleast supporting it
also when your playing tennis make your your wrist isnt all floppy when your hitting the ball, make sure its firm
(plus it will give you more power)
also when you get home after playing, put a heat compact on it because it will help soothe things
hope this helps.
Now i have to get ready for my 8-10 pm tennis team practice…
start off with a tight wrist band to keep some pressure on it. also put one on ur elbow. if that doesn’t help get a brace.
First thing is to get an x ray, this will show any damage to the wrist including any weakness in the joint, secondly, pain is a warning to take it easy so wear a brace but exercise the wrist by squeezing a tennis ball several times every day and lay off the game for a week to give the injury a chance to heal.
