Why do my elbow joints hurt after lifting weights?
i started lifting weights yesterday and today my elbow joints are very sore when i go to extend out my arm, particularly my left one (my right one isnt too bad)
am i doing something wrong or is this part of making my muscles stronger
and is there anything i can do to make it go away faster so i can start lifting again?

The most likely answer is that you’re putting too much strain on the joint. The answer is to change your sets so you’re doing more reps with less weight.
Joint injuries can be serious, painful and debilitating. If this doesn’t go away you should probably see a doctor of physical therapist about it. You definitely shouldn’t lift any more weights until this blows over.
You say you’ve just started, so here’s a few good things to keep in mind:
Always rest if you overextend yourself. It’s not about doing it as often as possible. Ideally you should never do more than 2 sessions per week, and never less than three days apart. Even if you do more than that, try to space them out.
Remember that the muscle doesn’t grow while you’re lifting, it just swells a bit. The actual growth happens over 2-3 days after the session, and doing another one too early really messes it up.
Never, ever lift if your muscles still hurt.
Don’t just lift again and again. You can get more benefit if you do sets and take a rest and a drink after each one.
Do it properly. Talk to someone who knows weights, there will be such people at a gym or if you’re younger your PE teacher should know. Weights, more than most excercise, can badly injure you if done badly.
Your elbow joints are not supposed to hurt!!!! Please make sure you have the correct form in weightlifting, because with bad form you’ll hurt yourself and not build muscle.
