You are either lifting too much weight too soon or not keeping proper form - or both most likely.

You are straining your ligaments.

Don't continue to do this. Please look up proper form and try scaling back the weight until you can keep proper form.

You are setting yourself up for more serious injury.

Oh kind sir we are in the same ugly boat!
I myself have been lifting and this pain in my elbow started up go figure.
It got worse and it wasn't until about 5 months did I finally see someone.
It is golfers elbow!
There are so many tendons connected to your bone and we are stressing them out by doing what we are doing.
I am not a golfer either! lol
I also had tennis elbow on the same arm a year ago and after that healed for a few months, it moved to the other side.
I noticed it more when I would play Guitar Hero with my daughter.
I am a cool mom! What can I say. I workout, and play!
So I bet you are constantly bumping it when driving. :(
Anyway, a dr. will have to be the one to help. They will recommend physical therapy, sports medicine, and probably prescribe 800 mgs of Motrin for inflammation.
If you can, get someone or you yourself to GENTLY rub the area for about 10 minutes.
Ice it, ice it, ice it!
There are stretches to do as well.
Here are a couple of amazing informative sites that I think you will find very helpful.
Good luck! If you have any more questions, d1963s@aol.com

I have also just recently got back into heavy lifting. I am close to 40 but used to train a lot when I was younger. I have been off and haven't training for a few years and just got back into it this week. My elbows are killing me too! This also happened to me when I was younger. I tried to go right back into lifting my old weights and killed myself. I was doing standing upright rows. While trying to pull the straight bar up to my chin.....I would curl my wrists toward my palm. "This type of strain can occur when the fingers are curved to type or to grasp an object at the same time the wrist is curled palm ward." I feel great except for my elbows......I am going to drink a lot of water....take some Advil to help with the pain and also unfortunately take a few weeks off....at least from heavy lifting...then ease back into it. I will however continue my cardio workout. Good Luck! Hope your feeling better by now?

Hello friend and future T.E.S.T. System Training - Total E-Learning Strength Training - member. Circuit13 Inc., created an innovation in health and fitness with its online exercise system. Your complete online education is almost ready to use. This is an e-learning exercise system created by an endurance strength champ and health care professional who has professionally helped many individuals with this situation before. Circuit 13 Inc., created T.E.S.T. System Training exactly for this reason; joint protection and body development. Many people have come to me over the years with the same set of painful circumstances and then they use Circuit 13's T.E.S.T. System Training and they learn how to avoid this negative and see new results in body development, joint protection and fat loss.

Learn it. Use it. Transform.

I had a friend who played tennis and he always had a pain in his right elbow. I don't know if it's in the exact place as you but he started exercising his arm with a gyroscope ball and he had never mentioned me about the pain anymore, he still plays tennis.

I found page for you, hope it helps.
