Do I need to see a doctor immediately?
I plugged in my fan without turning it off, stupid I know, but lack of sleep during dead week will make you do stupid things. Anyways, I was shocked in my right arm and now the muscles in my forearm and bicep are really sore/tight, also my joints (elbow and shoulder) feel like thick pins are stuck in them. Is this something I should see a doctor for or just let it go? I’m just surprised it hurts after about 40 minutes.
Any thoughts?

No.
I have done FAR worse.
The pain is from the muscle spasm, not the electricity itself.
Your muscles are sore like they would be if you tried to lift something too heavy.
Warm bath, massage the area, stretch it gently.
Take some advil/ibuprofen.
Not tylenol or other painkillers.
Take a NSAID, they will help with the inflammation and pain obviously.
As long as you are feeling fine otherwise and you don’t have any burns from being electrocuted, then you should be fine. If you are really concerned you can go to the doctor, but I wouldn’t say it’s necessary.
you;re fine
i dont think so, but its always better to see a doctor
Nothing to meet with a doctor…just drink lots of water..u wll be okay…take care
Yes! Go see a doctor!
try to srtech it out, like take a dumbell, and use your bicep to lift it. it will hurt, but it will soon feel better. if it does not improve after a couple days, then see a doctor, but give it time.
definitely never take any chances about whether or not to go see the doctor or not when it comes to things like this
I would have it looked at, mainly because it still hurts after 40 minutes, and its over a wide area. If anything pop some tylenol or advil and see if those help at all, if not then see one for sure

I would. I have been shocked before and it didn’t hurt for that long. It wouldn’t hurt to be checked out…better to be safe then sorry. Good luck and I hope all turns out ok.
your should see your doctor with any type of electric shock, could lead to complications. eg heart
it could be nothing, but what if you leave it and have some issues with it down the road, you’ll be thinking, should have gone to the doctor, wouldnt be having this issue now if i had just gone went it first happened.Dont have to listen to me though, see what other people say
