Will a basketball shooting sleeve help with tennis elbow?

Curious if it would help compress a tennis elbow caused by basketball?

    Whatever action you take, it’s doing some good if the pain is reduced. With tennis elbow, gripping anything is painful. So if the sleeve enables you to grip with less pain, then it’s good. But most recent research suggests that there’s not a great deal you can do about tennis elbow, except wait for it to go away.

    The worst options are the two extremes: to put the arm in a sling, or to carry on using it as normal despite the pain. You need to give the limb some exercise, but whatever increases the pain will only make it worse. As far as possible, then, exercise the arm without hurting it. If the sleeve helps reduce the pain, wear it.
