Why is my elbow still sore 3 days after general anesthesia injection?
Don’t worry , I will call my doctor tomorrow when their office reopens.
I just had my wisdom teeth taken out last Thursday, and my face is fine, but the injection site on my elbow is sore and I am basically out of comission as far as my normal exercise program goes.
Is this normal for this to be sore from what seems such a non-invasive injection? I’ve had blood drawn before and it was fine the next day.
Yah, the vein feels hard in the area where the injection was. Hopefully I can get this fixed asap, I have a follow up with the doctor on Friday the 6th.

An injection is an invasive procedure.
You could have phlebitis from a reaction to the drugs used. Do you have a very sore vein that feels rock hard?
The IV could have infiltrated, pushing fluid or drugs into your tissues. Is the area swollen?
You could hurt simply from the fact that you have had a hole poked in your skin.
If the area is really painful, red and hot, you could have a serious infection and need immediate treatment.
its normal but if in a week its still sore talk to your doctor..
