As medical imaging has improved, we can now see that problems we previously thought were "tendinitis" (inflammation of the tendon) are really degenerative changes in the tendon ("tendinosus"). That's why treatments to help inflammation (like ice, rest, and anti-inflammatory medications) didn't always cure the problem. There's a new treatment performed by specially trained physical therapists called ASTYM. The technique has a documented success rate of 89.8% for tennis elbow (pain on the outside of the elbow) and 93.3% with golfer's elbow (pain on the inside). You can check out their website to find a certified therapist in your area. Good Luck!
