I was told I have "tennis elbow’ in both elbows. Its very sore at times. The dr. told me he would inject medicine into it to help the pain on both elbows. Has anyone had these injections and do they hurt and how bad? The dr. said he wouldnt make it hurt….but im still terrified. What’s the procedure? Is there anything I can tell him how to numb it good? Thanks.

I hurt my arm by digging post holes and planting trees this past fall. Doctor told me to take 2 Aleve twice a day. Problem is I can’t sleep after taking Aleve , wake up about 1:00 AM and can’t go back to sleep. Is this common with any one else? What can I take?

My hands are always freezing, people wont hold my hands because their so cold. And i get really sharp, shooting pains in my hands and in my joints, my joints also "crack" or "pop" alot, whenever i get up i’ll pop in my knees, or elbows, or my hands. Which is all fine and dandy except that I’m 14.

When I keep my arm bent for too long, like when I’m sleeping or talking on the phone, it really hurts when I straighten it.

My elbow is sore all the time and stiffens up constantly, making it tough to sleep at night and also lift anything in a curling motion. I lift heavy weights 4 day week and was thinking this is what’s causing it. Any ideas??

My Chocolate Lab (Ginger) is 10 y.o. and has had mod-severe arthritis in both front elbow joints for several years. Ginger’s vet and orthopaedic surgeon has prescribed Mobic and now Tramadol, but neither has made a difference. Since Ginger is nearing 10 y.o., I’m trying to avoid surgery. Ginger’s very happy, but her limp is getting worse and worse. What can I do?

I think I may have de Quervians in my right hand/forearm and was wondering if putting a brace that’s used for lateral epicondylitis/tennis elbow over my mid forearm(general area of extensor pollicis longus & brevis, abductor pollicis longus) would relieve some of the strain on the tendons going to the thumb and across the wrist by shifting the tension back on the muscle bellies.

Since I have gone back to work 2 months ago, my right arm has really been hurting. I am right handed and work in a headlight factory so I use automatic drivers all day long. It has never bothered me much before but since being back, it really hurts. Not in the same spot all the time, sometimes in the forearm, or bicep area, started out being my shoulder. Also, it hurts the most at nighttime and when I first get up in the morning, not so much when in use.

I was diagnosed with cellulitis a week ago. It is located on my right arm at the elbow. Symptoms appeared exactly 7 days ago (red skin, tight at elbow, super sensitive to touch, etc),. Went to Doc next day and he was unsure of whether it was cellulitis or gout, but leaned towards cellulitis. Perscribed bactrin and naproxen (in case its gout). Saw some immeditae benefits within a day…swelling decreased and tenderness went down. For the next few days the redness spread from my elbow toward my wrist with a clear line of demarcation betrween the red tender part and the normal skin. In the last two days the red pink color has gone down significantly, but the point of origin at my elbow is still a bit swollen and red. The skin at the elbow is very tight and a little warm (though not as much as last week). Is this normal/expected? When can I expect the swelling and tightness to go away? I have been on bactrin (2x per day) for 7 days. I have an appointment with my doc for 9 days from now.

I’ve been trying to get rid of it for about 2 years. It has destroyed my MMA training and almost put me out of work. It has gotten better some but it seems so prone to re injury. I have pain in both elbows with a crunching sound in the right when I flex. All the Doc did is give me antinflammatories. Anyone recovered from this? How?
