Got it from over training 2 months ago, and I haven’t worked out since. Have been treating it with Pennsaid, Advils, ice, and rest. A few days ago I started to workout back, biceps, abs and legs, I also do some chest and shoulders, but nothing that involves the tricep. I still cant do any tricep exercises aka pushing exercises. I cant do any presses. Its been over 2 months and I am loosing muscle mass. How much longer till there is NO PAIN? Each week that goes by, the more depressed I get.

I CAN do kickbacks, but thats the only tricep exercise I can do…

I work as a stocker in a pet food place, lift 40-50 pound bags of food, and have done triceps, biceps, chest and shoulder exercises for the past month, and noticed a pain in my left forearm and outer elbow that throbs, slightly weakens the elbow, and hurts when i flex my bicep. I first noticed it when doing barbell curls, but i think the bag lifting is what created it totally. HOW DO I KNOW IF I TORE SOMETHING, or whether its like tennis elbow, ect? Can i still weight lift if its tennis elbow, or do i have to waste time by letting it heal? PLEASE HELP!

I’ve had tennis elbow for some time now from military training. I’m out of the service now, and have rested my bicep for 8-10 weeks doing physical therapy and all the necessary things, but it’s still just as bad. Please do not recommend medical treatments (i.e. cortisone or resting). My question is if anyone knows of bicep/shoulder workouts that do not put too much strain on my elbows. Curls seem to only worsen them, and shoulder press is out of the question. Any WORKOUT ideas will be greatly appreciated, as not being able to lift weights and only doing cardio has caused me to lose nearly all of my hard earned muscle mass. Thanks in advance.
Correction: I’ve rested my elbows, not just biceps.

Basically I was doing some exercise on my biceps and I haven’t done them before, but my arms are aching now, and this is on the 2nd day after I was doing that exercise.

What happens if I play tennis when the muscles on my arms are aching? I played yesterday for like 15 minutes and could that be why my muscles are aching today as well now?

Are you meant to rest them? Will playing like 15 minutes of tennis make it worse at all?

I have recently joined the gym and started using some of the arm machines. I am used to the soreness associated with leg muscles and abs as I have worked them out many times in the past. My arms have not had so much attention. I did some bicep curls on a machine not free weights, and some tricep stuff as well as upper back and shoulders. Now I did this day before yesterday. Yesterday my triceps were sore and as the day went on my shoulder started to get so stiff I couldn’t really lift it. Then this morning my shoulder was fine but now my biceps are so sore that they hurt when my arms are in any sort of position, whether I’m using them or not. Is this normal for being sore on the upper body? Persistant pain? Because lower body I notice only really hurts when you are using the muscle or stretching. I did stretch after my exercises. My biceps hurt the most just above the elbow joint and seem swollen as well. Is there some common mistake people make on those machines I might not know?

By the inside of my elbow i mean when you bend your elbow the inside. i dont know how to explain it, but after i’m done doing bicep curls it hurts a lot right there and my biceps dont get sore. Im i doing the excersise wrong or is it something else.

below my biceps, in the elbow joint area, towards the inside i have been feeling pain for two days. Two days ago i had a strenuous workout for swimming and i lifted weights with my biceps, after that it started to feel tight and now it feels very tight and it hurts to extend my arm out, i can do it but it is a bit painful. The pain isnt sharp pain but more like it is extremely, extremely sore. all the surrounding muscles are extremly sore and, but i’m worried that could be tendonitis.

On saturday I went to the gym worked out my biceps triceps and forearms. I realize i shouldnt have done all 3 but I hadn’t gone to the gym in awhile. I felt fine until the next day when my biceps were sore.

I knew i would be sore but didnt realize I wouldn’t be able to bend my elbows all the way straight. It’s been about 3 days and i still cant bend my elbows will it go away?

This normal? What can I do?

Chosen Answer:

cannot bend elbow

Yesterday I workout really hard lifting weight and stuff. Today both my arms are really sore in the middle of my arm. After the biceps and before my forearms. Pretty much on the opposite side of my elbow. Can I do anything to stretch this par of my arm out make it feel better?

I’m a 13 year old boy. I play soccer and tennis competitively and run occasionally during the sport seasons so I am reasonably fit. What sort of exercises can I do to improve my fitness and strength? Exercises for different parts of the body-arms (biceps), legs (thighs and calves), abs etc.

The other side of the elbow hurts, when I have it bent for a long time, and when I extend my arm there’s just major pain on that spot. Is there a way to make it recover faster? Its been sore since Yesterday since I went to the gym on Wednesday. Can it be recovered faster without supplements or medicine? My dad who is a bodybuilder tells me to just massage it myself with my hand but is there a better way?

My biceps are fine and my forearms are getting bigger, but the area around the lower bone in my elbow really bothers me because it sticks out so much! What exercises can I do to bulk up around there?

I went to the gym and worked out my lower back and i guess back in general, i can definitely feel it in my back, but i also feel extremely sore around my biceps (closer to the inside of my elbow) to were it is quite discomforting to extend my arm. Did i work out wrong… or is this normal?
its not my elbow itself… i definetly can tell its in my muscles … i guess i should of said proximal to my elbow (not the elbow itself)
ok, i DO feel it in my Lats, just more yesterday than today… so i guess my form was ok, but i’m sure it could be better. I’m not used to using weights in my work out rutiens so i might have overcompinsated with my arms. but i tried to make sure i was tightning my back muscles as i did my "wide grip Lat pulldowns" and "One-Arm Dumbbell Rows" thanks for your answers. i’ll keep this in mind

They are small un-noticeable (except to touch) bumps on my arm where the biceps are. They usually feel softer when I put moisturiser on them, except this does not get rid of them. How do I get rid of them completely?

I am been lifting for years. During my time I have developed a great chest and broad shoulders. However, I have had problems with my arms. When I try to go heavy, I end up injuring myself, (naming tennis elbow). My biceps exercise consists of preacher curls, dumbbell curls and hammer curls. My triceps exercises consist of standing cable press downs, seated triceps extensions, and triceps kickbacks. I am not looking a gaining much weight, because I am already close to my weight limit in the Army. Can someone give me advice?
