I have recently had symptoms of what I think is carpal tunnel syndrom. Im getting some dull aching pain mostly in my thumb and index finger. They also have a slight burning sensation and the pain radiates through the center of my wrist and and acompanied by a tennis elbow type of feeling. The whole thing feels like a nerve pain. The only thing that took me by surprise, was how fast it came on. I have been doing medical transcription typing for about 7 months now. But I only type for a maximum of 2 hours a day and many times its not even that much. I know that typing is the number one cause of it, but it just didnt seem like I would get it from that much typing. I noticed about 2 weeks ago, my hands started to slightly ache from typing, but it would go away when i stopped. Then I feel like i woke up one morning and it just hurt, and ive had the pain for a little over a week now and its not improving at all. Does it sound like carpal tunnel for sure? If so, what can I do to improve it and also do you think its related directly to the tennis elbow feeling or would you think that is a separate problem?
My elbow is sore to the touch for over 3 weeks now and really hurts when trying to lift things, etc. At night it gets extremely painful and hurts to stretch it out when I wake up. Just my left elbow.

The anterior scalene muscle starts from the transverse processes of C3-C6, slanting downward and forward, and inserts into the first rib. When it contracts, the head bends to the same side and forward. The causes of anterior scalene muscle syndrome are: 1. Cervical spondylosis — Spinal nerves C3-C8 provide motor innervation to the anterior scalene muscle. Their irritation or compression evokes increased tension in the anterior scalene muscle. 2. Chronic overload and muscular strain — Chronic physical overload of the anterior scalene muscle or its strain also produce the clinical picture of anterior scalene muscle syndrome. Because the anterior scalene muscle participates in inspiration, patients with bronchial asthma frequently have anterior scalene muscle syndrome. 3. Visceral pathology — The heart and lungs are innervated by the same segments of the spinal cord as the anterior scalene muscle. Thus, chronic cardiac and pulmonary disorders evoke reflex zones in the anterior scalene muscle and are …

I have had two professions (first hairdresser for many years, now been a computer geek for several years). My hands tingle whenever I am on the computer too long (daily), or when I try to hold a phone for an extended period of time.
Will I be a candidate for some type of surgery or what is the usual way they got about getting rid of the tingling?
