Weird feeling in arm after going to chiropractor?
Went to chiropractor for back adjustment and ended up telling him about tennis elbow I have been dealing with. He did a minor adjustment on my arm by placing the palm up and pulling the arm toward him. since that visit I have had pain in my bicep and near or in my shoulder. It didnt hurt initially but seems to be aggravated now by swimming and push up style exercises. What could he have done??? A physical therapist and him both have told me that nothing major could have happened and that this pain should just go away but it is not going away and Im worried. What do you guys think happened and what should I do?

Went to the chiropractor for a tennis elbow adjustment and came out with bicep tendinitis in my shoulder WTF? He put my arm with the palm of my hand facing up and yanked it toward him. The pain didnt come on immediately but it was hurting so much while trying to exercise that I went to a real doctor and she diagnosed me with bicep tendinitis. How did this happen? Is my arm going to be permanently messed up or out of proper alignment? What should I do?

I am currently being treated at the chiropractor, using heat and massage and stretching exercises for the muscles, but I still feel the pulling lightly, but it is better than it first was. I want it to heal and I took a break from exercise or lifting or anything taht would involve pressure to that area, but I do have to work and do normal things like typing, writing, opening doors, etc. Will this heal as I do not want it to permanently be this way? Thanks!
Also, how long does it take to heal fully? Is it unusual that I’ve had this about 3 weeks already?

We use Active Release Therapy to treat and resolve your tennis elbow pain. The pain is a result of scar tissue and degeneration within the muscles and tendons which enable your wrist to extend back. This is a motion required during your tennis swing. The scar tissue and degeneration is caused by overuse and repetitive motion. How does cracking your neck, back, wrist, elbow and fingers help a tendon injury? Can somebody explain this to me?

I have a sore neck, shoulder, and elbow, all on the left side.
I work out often, but now I can hardly do a pushup or pullup. My elbow pops, and my shoulder hurts not the muscle but deeper, and my neck is always hurting on the left. Is it the way I sleep efecting this, or an old possible neck injury. My chest also pops and has that cracked chest feel, yeah I’m all messed up. I was thinking about getting a total gym and maybe quitting the free weights for a while, or should I just see a chiropractor and give him all my money?
25yo male
Thanks, could a hurt neck cause other problems on my left side? And does anyone know about cracking chest syndrome?
thanks alot Tex

I have seen my personal physician, a hand surgeon, a chiropractor, and a rheumatologist for this, and none of them can figure out what is wrong with me. I have been tested twice for Lyme, lupus, and arthritis, and all three have come back negative both times. I’m a 22 year old female with no history of severe injury or health problems.

Several months ago the joints on the left side of my body suddenly started to hurt. Most affected were my left wrist and knee, both of which have been injured in the past – tendonitis in my wrist two years ago, mild knee injury six months ago, but neither had given me problems till then. Also affected were my shoulder, elbow, knuckles, and ankle. The pain comes and goes in waves. Exercise and movement seem to make it worse, though staying still does not make it better. It gets worse all the time despite my taking a prescription anti inflammatory every day. The doctors have given me no painkillers. (Out of room for question, will add more details.)
It is severe to the point where I get very little sleep anymore, and have little appetite. I’ve lost five pounds in the last three days (I have very fast metabolism, but this is still abnormal for me). It does not hurt all the time, but when it does I am unable to focus and generally incapacitated if I am at work (I am a secretary). I have been limping regularly as putting weight on my left leg seems to make it worse. In the last few days my right leg has also started hurting, and the pain has started to spread out from the knees all the way to my feet and groin. My right arm is completely fine so far.

I’ve no idea if it’s relevant, but I do have other chronic health problems. I have mild-moderate asthma, vocal chord dysfunction, chronic dry eye, and acid reflux. I have suffered from a chronic stiff neck accompanied by pain for years, though I’ve always assumed that was caused by stress.

If anyone has any idea what might be causing this pain, please tell me. Thank you.
Appropriately enough, I have forgotten to mention a few other symptoms that I have been experiencing: short-term memory loss, difficulty concentrating, and confusion/disorientation, as well as muscle spasms and occasional pins-and-needles tingling in my fingertips. I’ve no idea if all of this is related or perhaps just due to sleep deprivation. The rheumatologist also mentioned to me that my blood tests showed that there is no inflammation.

The rheumatologist suggested that my pain is caused by tendinitis, though he gave no explanation as to how I would suddenly develop tendinitis all over my body without having engaged in any notable physical activity. There is no swelling or other outward physical symptoms, and my family has been very unsupporting, implying that I may be faking this for attention – this is incredibly difficult to deal with and I’m desperate to find a solution. I appreciate the suggestions so far, thanks very much to all who can help.

It started doing this when I was 13, the summer I started playing tennis.

I’m 17 now =P No one would ever take me to the doctor for it.

It hurts from time to time, but its not extremely painful or unbearable.

Now I really don’t feel it popping out like it used to, but I can still move whatever was popping out there on the side slightly.

Is this treatable? Or is the fact that its not popping out as often or as bad as it used to mean it’s healing itself?

I wore an arm brace for quite awhile, but it squished my arm more then helped my elbow =P
Its hard to tell with my jacket on, but I took it off and it is still popping out of the joint, whatever this thing is X_X Nothing looks out of place or odd on my elbow, but something is popping out on the side.
Oh yeah, this is my right elbow by the way.
If I doesn’t keep me from missing school like my evil sinus infections my mom doesn’t get off her butt to do much =P And we have no money, she has less money then I do and I have hardly any money D=

I don’t know why my grandma wouldn’t take me, she called a chiropractor but they wouldn’t even see me, he told me to wear the stupid elbow brace =P

Its not hindering my life at all in any way, its just annoying that it gets a little sore very easily.

I had surgery on both arms for tennis elbow/tendinitis. My arms were not healing as fast as my doctors thought they should, so I asked my doctor for a prescription for deep tissue massage in my arms (to help the tendinitis). He gave me one and I called a licensed place that stated in the phone book that they do deep tissue massage therapy. I called them on the phone and made sure that they do this type of work and they said yes, no problem, just bring in my prescription to my first appt. So I did, and it ended up being a Chiropractors office which was clearly not set up for deep tissue massage on the arms. He has been working on my neck and back since end of August and at first at the end of each session he would pay some attention to my arms for about a minute. I questioned him about this because I was concerned about workers comp not paying the bill for a chiropractors office and he assured me that if they don’t that my Blue Choice will pay for it. He also said that he would
write me up a release stating that I would never see a bill from them (to ease my mind). I finally told him that I felt I was clearly in the wrong place, and he told me that the neck and arms are connected and that it would benefit me, so I continued to set up appts. I did however tell him though that I didn’t feel that this was the place for me as far as massage for my arms. He then asked one of the massage therapists that work in the same building with him come in and speak with me about how much it would cost me per 1/2 hour for the massage that I need for my arms! Oh yeah, and the letter of release that he gave me only states that I am not responsible for copays! I called the insurance company today and it is in review and they told me that if workers comp does not pay for it, I might have to go before a judge and jury, so I called the Chiropractor’s office and told him this and that I want a letter stating I will never see a bill and he is being testy with me. I am going to
go to my appointment today just so I can get that letter, but I don’t appreciate him making me out to me the a-hole when he clearly mislead me from the beginning just so he could get my business. What should I do if he doesn’t give me that letter and I end up having to waste my time with court and get a bill? I am really aggrivated. Not only has he wasted my time, but I did not get the deep tissue massage on my arms that I needed.

I’ve read that it comes from repeated overuse of your arm but I do not do anything that I can think of that would strain it. In any event, I’ve tried ice packs, Aleve, Arnica, massage, elevating it, etc. which all work– but only temporarily. I keep hoping it will go away on its own (just like it came) but I’m losing patience. When my chiropractor works on my shoulder, I can feel pain in my elbow so am wondering if it’s my shoulder that’s been pushed out of place via an adjustment. I’d be interested in hearing from anyone with experience and/or expertise in this area.

Thanks!
