I’m a pretty regular disc golfer for almost 2 years, about 2-3 times per week. I’ve had some on again off again pain in my forearm below my elbow. Today I hurt it big time playing. I have free range of motion in my arm without pain, the pain is weight bearing related. I cannot push down with my hand without searing, dull pain all around the thickest part of my forearm.

The closest thing to compare the pain to is if your arm was wrenched the wrong way in an arm bar hold. There is no swelling nor bruising, I can move my fingers and hand freely, no numbness, just godawful pain when I push down or rest it with only my hand supporting the arm. It seems to be more along the ulna bone rather then the radius. Does that sound like tendonitis, bone bruise, tendon/ligament pull? It didn’t sound like tennis elbow but I’m not ruling anything out.

What does this sound like and what should I do about it? I’ve already started the R.I.C.E regiment but other ideas would be nice, especially preventative/rehab related. Thanks.

Earlier today, I picked up my guitar and started playing, and immediately I started feeling pain on the muscle near (but not on) my elbow. I was feeling this on my picking hand. I noticed that the pain is worst whenever I move my fingers (in fact, I’m writing this with one hand). Could this be tennis elbow? And how can I treat it?

For the past 2 years, with it getting worse the last 6 months, I have pretty bad pain when walking, with stiffness and swelling in my knees, hips and ankles. My fingers are also stiff and achy and I also have pain in my elbows. Walking, bending is getting worse. And climbing and coming down stairs is very difficult. Although some days seem worse than others. Also, my toes seem to be deforming and I have pain in them as well. What could be wrong with me?

I woke up this morning to find that my elbows, knees, ankles, and fingers are all really sore. They hurt almost every time I move them. I am 13 years old and I have never had a problem like this before. Everything was fine yesterday, but not today. Does anyone know what might be the problem?

Thanks

my arm has been hurting for almost 7 months… When it first started hurting I went to a doctor and they said i had tendonitis. But my arm didn’t stop hurting. IN febuary I went to a diffrent doctor who thought i should go to physical therapy, so i went to physical therapy and the therapist said i had tennis elbow, and he treated me and said it should start feeling better and it did for a few weeks but now it hurts more than ever!! I am tired of it hurting it hurts to write, and play my tuba. There are times when i am almost brought to tears because it hurts so bad. I would go to the doctor agian but i have kind of lost faith in them. Even though i have only gone to two doctors and physical therapist, but as a teenage girl that seems like a lot. please and info would help.

so during physical therapy he had to loosen the muscle and i learned how to do that to but it doesn’t help anymore. I am not sure how to describe my pain but it hurts alot. and every once in a while it feels like stabbing going up and down my arm into my hand and up to my shoulder. It exspecialy hurt when i move my fingers. i am right handed and it is my right arm i need it to stop hurrting!!!

I was walking down the front steps(dreaming), I slipped and hit the floor with my back. (thankfully, I didn’t hit the steps)

My right arm took most of the impact. The wrist hurts a little bit, but thats not a big thing, it will go away. BUT the back of my right elbow looks like it has a large tennis ball attached to it. and it hurts bad.

I am not able to stretch my arm more than 150Degrees (people can, upto 180 degrees) or below 40 degrees. My right palm cant touch the right shoulder. Every time I move it closer to the shoulder, it gives me a terrible streak of pain from the tip of my fingers to the neck. Can’t write or type properly, how do you get rid of the pain and swelling?

I can pick up things but not more than 3 books.

(First aid: Deep Heat & Elmetacin Spray Solutions)
middle of the night. and can’t drive right now.
CANT DRIVE with this on my hand. midnight. hospital too far away. maybe in the morning. but not now. Anything for the pain?
ouch. wrist to.
trying ice now. pain is still there.
I see the danger with YA now, dont know if medical solutions here are the right thing to do. bloody steps. ah. ouch ouch ouch.

It is painful to move at all. Every joint in my body is hurting! It started in my wrists, and moved to my knees, but now includes my ankles, toes, fingers (which are severly swollen) back, elbows and neck. I am in a lot of pain. I called for advise and was told it would not be a side effect to Gardasil. Has anyone else experienced similar symptoms after being injected with Gardasil?? I also have felt dizzy the past 2 nights. I’m in a lot of pain and I am worried!!

I’m hopefully going to be able to see my doctor this afternoon. But the way they were talking they don’t think it is Gardasil, and I am worried it is! I don’t know if I should have the other 2 injections!
I don’t know if this makes any difference? But I have been having ongoing Colposcopys because of HPV.

I banged my elbow hard about three weeks ago. It was quite bruised. Now it hurts when i carry stuff, or when I stretch out my fingers 9sometimes). It doesnt really hurt much to touch and there is nothing to see. I don’t really want to bother a doctor. Do you think it will just heal itself?

We are going through a big audit at work and ever since then I wake up with the joints in my fingers, knees, ankles, toes, elbows, and neck being very stiff and painful, like arthritis. I am 38-years-old and have had osteoarthritis in my fingers since my early 20s (genetic). Could this be arthritis brought up by on-the-job stress? (The only over-the-counter painkiller that works is ibuprofen, and ibuprofen makes me go to sleep, even if I take only 200 mg)

I have a balanced diet.. I dont eat very healthy things but I eat alot of fruit and veg aswell.. Doc tried to pin it on anxiety but im not an anxious person.. I live a pretty stress free lifestyle.. People say im so laid back im horizontal lol.. Im also having head aches and pain on my eyes.. the head ache seems to occur at the sides of my head and top.. got blood tests done and nothing came up.. Doc gave me amoxicillin for inflamation in my ears.. so tht might explain head aches.. and light headedness.. My hands and feet seem to be quite cold alot of the time I heard thats something to do with circulation but Im not sure.. any ideas people? (Oh i recently had a viral throat infection and doc said it might be post viral fatigue *blood test covered glandular fever*)

I was on the floor putting some books on a low shelf. When I brought my arm down after shelving a book my elbow (kind of on the upper side of it) hit HARD on the corner of a large plastic box which has a sharp corner.

The pain wasn’t like hitting my funny bone, it was much worse. I swear it brought tears to my eyes and my whole arm went numb from the elbow to the tips of my fingers.

What I want to know why do my wrists and fingers hurt bad now too? My elbow is really sore. It hurts to bend it out all the way and honestly the pain just type it bad. I have a bruise now showing up where I hit it.

Any idea what’s wrong?

Oh & YES I will watch out for plastic boxes now and I won’t type anymore! lol

My elbow has been hurting me for a couple of years now. It started when I worked at a smoothie place my senior year of school. During my shift, if we were having a really busy day, I would be about to pour a smoothie in to the cup when all of a sudden, I would get this shooting feeling from my elbow down to my pinky and I would almost lose my grip on the blender.

It’s a sort of dull achy pain. I also get it from being on the computer for a long time. (like typing). I have noticed that when I run two fingers down my arm from my elbow to my pinky, I can make the pain start, so I’m wondering if its a nerve thing. It’s mostly the inside of my elbow that hurts.
It’s very achy. I use Asper Cream on it. Thats all I have.

Has anyone had this happen to them before? It’s been almost 3 years now since I noticed it. I have had no injuries to it (besides getting stung by a bee about a month ago around that area). My pinky goes numb. This is my left arm, btw.

I’m probably going to go to the doctor when I get on break this week. But I really wanted to know if anyone has had this problem before. Please, serious answers only.

Three weeks ago my lower back felt sore and bruised and my ankles were sore and one swelled up a little bit. The following week I felt stiff and sore but nothing too bad and no swelling. This week it hurts to walk because my ankles and feet are so sore, along with my knees ankles, elbows, hands and fingers. One knuckle is red, swollen, and sore on my right hand, and on my left foot one toe is swollen and hurts terribly to walk. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?!
oh and I do not work out or play sports of any kind, I have had no serious physical injuries ever.

I know this is something I should be going to the doctors about, which is why I am going to the walk in tomorrow. But anyways, Saturday I woke up and my hands and feet were swollen, I had to pry my rings off and my sandals wouldn’t fit my feet were so swollen. Through Saturday my feet were swollen and began to hurt. By the end of the day all my joints were sore my wrists, fingers, elbows, hips, knees, ankles and toes. Everything feels like they have been over worked. My feet hurt like I have been standing on them all day and walking all day. I can’t make a fist without a tight feeling. All my muscles feels sore and over worked. Keep in mind I’m 20 and have a job where I am moving a lot (but not to a point where I have ever hurt in 3 years). My family and friends say its either rheumatoid arthritis or from not drinking enough water and my body retaining water – thus the swelling. I dunno, it just gets in the way because everything hurts….doing anything is uncomfortable. Last week I did get a TB shot and don’t know if that’s some sort of side effect?
