When I search on the web, I find triceps tendonitis defined as the lower part of the triceps. My pain is in the back of my shoulder and hurts when I extend my arm. When I am tested for strenght in the rotator cuff, the rotator cuff is strong. My doctor said my condition is common in golfers, and I am avid golfer. He said it is the golfer’s shoulder equivalent to tennis elbow. Has anyone had this or heard of this before? What rehab or prevantive exercises can I do? Thank you.

I should have also noted I play basketball and workout 3-4 times a week. So I could have aggravated or hurt the shoulder playing bball. I have a low handicap and have rather solid mechanics according to my pro. The affected shoulder is not my lead shoulder, it is my right shoulder (non throwing) for my right handed golf swing. Thanks again
