My elbow has been hurting me for a couple of years now. It started when I worked at a smoothie place my senior year of school. During my shift, if we were having a really busy day, I would be about to pour a smoothie in to the cup when all of a sudden, I would get this shooting feeling from my elbow down to my pinky and I would almost lose my grip on the blender.

It’s a sort of dull achy pain. I also get it from being on the computer for a long time. (like typing). I have noticed that when I run two fingers down my arm from my elbow to my pinky, I can make the pain start, so I’m wondering if its a nerve thing.It’s mostly the inside of my elbow that hurts.
It’s very achy. I use Asper Cream on it. Thats all I have.

Has anyone had this happen to them before? It’s been almost 3 years now since I noticed it. I have had no injuries to it (besides getting stung by a bee about a month ago around that area). My pinky goes numb. This is my left arm, btw.

I’m probably going to go to the doctor when I get on break this week. But I really wanted to know if anyone has had this problem before. Please, serious answers only.

I recently joined a gym and I want to learn a new sport. Years ago I was a gymnast and into martial arts but now I’m looking to get into a more traditional sport like tennis. I was thinking of signing up for private lessons at my gym but I have a few questions.

1) 7 years ago when I was a teenager I briefly tried tennis and developed what’s called "tennis elbow." It hasn’t bothered me in a long time but is there a possibility it could become aggravated again by playing? I have an elbow brace, would that help?

2) How difficult is tennis? I’m in shape and naturally athletic, but it seems like tennis requires more of a technique?

3) How many lessons does it usually take to play decently? I’m not in any rush, just curious as to how most people progress. I assume it’s based on how much you practice?

4) Do you always have to practice (outside a lesson) with another player? Are their skills you can practice alone?

One day, I shot the ball, and here comes the "oh shit" moment.. and it happened.. it wasnt painful but.. I dont know.. but I kept shooting, so I guess it wasnt painful much. Anyways, I didnt really pay attention to my injured elbow, but everyday, I could feel that my arm was getting weaker, but I ignored it. I stopped playing basketball but instead i played video games. But I iced my elbow while playing it. Wow I cant believe its been a year since I got the injury.. I’m really confused about my injury.. my family doctor says its elbow strain, but 1 of my massage threapist say its tennis elbow. and another one of my massage threapist say its elbow strain..and people on yahoo say I torned my muscle or tendon! Which I dont think so. My doctors and MT say I didnt torn my muscle..Ok lets say its a strain. but why is it taking so long time to heal?

i know i have tennis elbow because i have visited the doctor. the pain started about half a year ago, and only sometimes get better when i rest it. there was a period of time when i rested that arm and if did not hurt even when i fisted tightly and "mimed" lifting weights (now it hurts). but after i resumed gymnastics, the pain came back. the doctor recommended one to two weeks’ rest, but it does not solve the problem wholly. do i have to rest it for a longer period of time to let it heal completely?
also, will the performance and durability of the elbow in the future be affected by the period of time which i have tennis elbow?
lastly, my elbow cracks very often. i find that after cracking, the elbow is a little less pain. because i have had this condition for a long time, i found out a way to crack the elbow with the least pain. but the question is this: is elbow cracking normal and does it have any good or bad effects (long and short term)
