I banged my elbow pretty hard about 3 days ago. I hit it on one of those long rectangular door handles and it kind of went right into my elbow. That day my elbow hurt when I bent it, but now it doesn’t and when I move my arm the top of my arm and top of my hand is sore, worse today than it was yesterday. Could I have pinched a nerve?

I have some kind of mild elbow injury. I seem to have messed up the "elbow nerve". I think it is from using a row machine with bad technique. It didn’t hurt at all during my work out but a few hours later it started and has gone on all day.
What should i do to make it feel better? Rest? Certain exercises? Ice? Heat? Can anybody tell me more about what this injury might be and maybe something i could do to prevent it if i use the row machine again?

My elbow has been hurting me for a couple of years now. It started when I worked at a smoothie place my senior year of school. During my shift, if we were having a really busy day, I would be about to pour a smoothie in to the cup when all of a sudden, I would get this shooting feeling from my elbow down to my pinky and I would almost lose my grip on the blender.

It’s a sort of dull achy pain. I also get it from being on the computer for a long time. (like typing). I have noticed that when I run two fingers down my arm from my elbow to my pinky, I can make the pain start, so I’m wondering if its a nerve thing.It’s mostly the inside of my elbow that hurts.
It’s very achy. I use Asper Cream on it. Thats all I have.

Has anyone had this happen to them before? It’s been almost 3 years now since I noticed it. I have had no injuries to it (besides getting stung by a bee about a month ago around that area). My pinky goes numb. This is my left arm, btw.

I’m probably going to go to the doctor when I get on break this week. But I really wanted to know if anyone has had this problem before. Please, serious answers only.

Specifically my radius.. bone? Whenever I go down to do a pushup, I get this odd numbing/moaning pain…. It’s not a sharp pain, but it’s kinda like a doctor taking his/her nerve checking hammer thingy and hitting your elbow from the inside…. I’m probably not making any sense, but it’s a really hard to explain… Can someone please tell me if this is a normal pain (Doing more reps will rid of this pain) or should I stop doing pushups for a while? Perhaps ice my elbows after a few reps or wear a supporter when doing activities? (The pain does some-what affect me during my other physical activities. The pain arises after doing about 20-30 pushups.) Thank you in advance for your answers.

I went and saw an orthopedic doctor today about my injured elbow from volleyball. The doctor said it was javelin elbow(similar to tennis elbow, just pain is underneath instead of on top) and so he gave me a brace. He said to wear it every day, all day, except when i sleep. Today was my first day wearing it, and not only my elbow, but my whole arm and hand hurt really bad when i just touched it, and when i wrote and that kind of stuff. It was also turning weird colors like purplish and red, and it got swollen. Is this normal? I took it off because it seemed a little strange, so do i keep it off? is this supposed to happen?
I am pretty sure it wasnt on to tight. The doctor said it should be tight so it puts pressure on my tendons, and if it was to tight my vains wold be popping out, which didnt happen… I am also thinking it might be a problem with my nerve. thats what the first doctor i saw said. If it was a nerve, that may have been what caused the pain and swelling? But i dont know. I would think that after a while the nerve would heal on its own, because it’s been about a year since the injury. I have barely used my elbow since then. I quit volleyball, and the only time i use it is in school when we play for P.E., and soccer when i am goalie. and just doing little things like wiping the table down it hurts sometimes. But anyway, im starting to think its NOT "javelin elbow". what do you think?

I have read about Tennis Elbow Pain and Golfer’s Elbow Pain, but I’m not sure of the causes compared to what I have.

I woke up the other morning and it felt like a nerve was caught between two bones in my elbow. I didn’t feel anything until I pulled my arm in. It felt like a nerve was caught between two bones and that they were squeezing it as they moved. I gently bent my arm back and forth, twisting my hand at the same time, thinking that I could get the nerve away from between the two bones.

Well, it worked a little bit, but I still had a slight pain throughout the day whenever I bent my arm. By the end of the day, the pain was "gone" and I had forgotten all about it. But when I woke up this morning, I had the same exact feeling in my arm and it has lasted all day, not as bad as when I woke up, but…

I work in the office and do very little manual labor, so I didn’t break a bone or anything. Does anyone have an explanation of this and some pointers on how I can get this to go away?
