Effective Tennis Elbow Treatment
I have been taking MSM pills and I am a boxer as well. My job does involve alot of keyboard work. My Elbows and wrists have been experiencing some pains and they tend to pop when i roll my wrists or extend my elbow. Any tips please?
Okay, so my mom has problems with her arm. She feels excruciating pain in her elbow, joint stiffness, sore parts around the ear and in the rib cage, and whenever its too cold or the weather’s not good, she feels worse. Plus, when she’s stressed out, she can’t even move. She can’t sleep, and pills don’t work. What exactly is the problem. none of the CAT scans and x-rays pics show what is wrong with her. Is it a psychological problem or is it just physical? Also, what can we do to fix it?
As a result of long term weightlifiting I have developed tendonitis in my elbow joints. The pain got so bad I could no longer perform any upper body exercises. I haven’t performed any in six weeks, and with every attempt (even with lighter weght), I still feel discomfort… In my research I have seen no long term remedy except cortizone shots in the affected joints or doses of anti inflamatory pills; I don’t like either option…Anyone out there with a similar problem ? Have you tried anything that works well to get one back to normal?
P.S.
I a have also been taking Glucosamine/Chondroitin capsules for about 6 weeks, and I feel no measurable relief .
I play baseball and I pitch. But according to my friend, I threw straight over the top last year, for both playing catch and pitching, but now this year says that I throw a little sidearmed for catch and still over the top pitching.
A few weeks ago, I pitched and left the game, and the next day, there was a slight pain, feeling as if it was just under my elbow, like there was a bruise on it, but didn’t hurt when I pressed on it. Only when I threw again or any other rapid arm movements.
I rested for about 2 weeks, and it got a little better, only I had summer tryouts yesterday. Right after I played catch and long toss, it came back as strong as ever.
Okay, so if this is tennis elbow (maybe b/c my throw is like the motion of swinging a racket), tell me. If you also know any treatments that do not relate to surgery or pills, please inform me of that as well. I heard you should rest it and ice it, but is that the best thing to do? It might be, but I don’t want to pitch and tear it, forcing me to do surgery, if my healing process is not complete.
So please. I don’t want to waste my baseball days while I’m still young. I’m only 17, and I don’t know if this should be happening. Please tell me the most effective way of self-treatment and how long it will be until I can safely throw a baseball hard again.
Thanks.
