I keep dropping my elbow whenever I swing, thus ending with me flying out. How do I correct this?

I guess I have 2 parts to my question.
1. I have just started playing golf for the first time. I am 26 years old. I have been taking tips from my friends who have been playing since they where kids. I after about a week or so, my left forearm, wrist and back started to get sore (I’m right-handed). There is actually a light sharp pain in my left elbow joint when I try to fully extend my left arm. Does this mean my swing form is incorrect?
2. I can officially admit that I love this game and I am addicted to it. I just played my first 9 holes and I love the game even more. However, after about 4 weeks of playing my left forearm and wrist remains sore. I know I should stop and let it heal, but I always hear practicing everyday will improve your game. I should mention that I am not hitting over 100 balls everytime I visit the driving range. The most I would do is about 50. Is it good to practice your swing when your sore?

I’ve had tennis elbow before and I don’t want it to happen again. Should I buy a racquet with a lighter head? I’ve heard that the type I have right now is better for beginners (I consider myself past that first stage), but may lead to tennis elbow faster. Is this correct? Logically, it makes sense because if the end of the racquet is heavier when you swing, it puts more pressure on your arm. And when it’s lighter, you’re relying more on just your muscle power. Help me out? :)

I practice tennis alot and always warm up first, but I’d like to know what kinds of exercises I should do to improve my skill. Not oncourt exercise, but like gym or outside excersices. Only the ones that help me improve things such as my swing, endurance, things used when playing. Hope the questions clear enough.

Hi, all. Here’s a question from a beginner in tennis: What are some good exercises to increase your swing and make it stronger?

Thanks!

Oh, and has anyone ever experienced any weight-loss in tennis? I eat well, and I’m hoping that once I start this sport I might drop a few pounds. I’m currently 122 lbs (5’1") and hoping to get down to 115-117 or so.

The pain is in the midst of the upper region of my arm (above my elbow and close to my shoulder). I’ve been playing about only 15 hours in the past four days. I have try outs in two days. I’ll take all suggestions on how to heal it quick.

The pain isn’t associated with the bone. I’m pretty sure it is like a muscle because the pain runs parallel to my bone.

Also, any ideas on how to serve with this kind of pain? Right now, I just tap it in. The pain only arises when I actually hit the ball or swing my racket. Thanks
