Last year when I started snowboarding, I remember falling pretty hard on my wrist on the 1st day. It hurt but I managed to get back up and keet going, the pain eventually subsided and was bothersome for about a week but I thought I had just sprained it or something. Well, here I am a yr. later with pain in my wrist-still. It is nothing extreme, just sort of annoying. I can almost feel a "popping," when pressing in a certain area. I can feel it crack often(it cracks loud when I move it a certain way), and will get sharp pains from the outside of my wrist to the outside of my elbow. They are not extremely painful in any way, which is probably why it has been a year. I have started to experience tingling from the far side of my wrist up into my hand. Again, nothing more than annoying. However, it has me wondering- could I have fractured it without realizing it? I mean, I think I have a pretty high tolerance for pain, but could I have done something more than a sprain and now it has healed wrong? And if so, what am I supposed to do about it now? Should I have it checked by a doctor(X-ray) even if they might not be able to do anything? I’m starting tennis soon and am worried about it bothering me…

and since last monday its been paining like crazy, i played only 8 minutes of dodgeball again on wednesday, but now its friday, and its still paining like crazy?
and everytime i do a bit of exercise like jogging, or something its paining like crazy after again?
well what could i do to stop all this pain? and im gonna workout with a friend on sunday for sure, but i hope it feels better by then.
Is there any elbow or arm bands i could get that will prevent injury?
if so, any names and stores i could get them at?
i found this elbow/arm band kinda thing for tennis lol at walmart, but im not sure if i should get that

Although I’m only 5’3” (on the short side), my weight is pretty much in check – I checked out my BMI and I’m very close to being underweight, but that’s not the problem..

For the last month, I’ve been pretty inactive. I wanted to exercise and be in shape, but I’ve just been really lazy and relaxed quite a bit. My jaw muscle (?) has been hurting recently, and random muscles in my elbows, or thighs or the one connecting my calves to thigh muscles (behind the knee), and my gums in my mouth…

This is bad, right? How do I make myself feel better (exercise releases endorphins?) but without a whole lot of commitment, I don’t want to have to hit the gym for like an hour everyday – I’m just a teenager so I have school and other things to focus on.. I play tennis, but that won’t be regularly possible, if at all, at least for another month. :(

Any suggestions appreciated :] Thank youuuuu

I’m 15, and since I was about 10 I’ve been getting 24/7 discomfort in my joints.

First it was only my wrists, but now its starting to spread to my other joints (ankles, knees, elbows). I have to crack them/roll them around for the discomfort to stop for a second and then it is painful again. After about 30 minutes exercise they hurt like crazy and I have to stop.

I don’t do any intense exercise. I’ve been exercising the same for years (tennis, jogging, swimming) and I play piano. I have a healthy diet, and while the pain never is extremely bad and doesn’t affect any other part of my body, its just constant, always there.

What do you think it could be? Thanks!

It’s not age, because i’m 15. It’s not that i’m too thin, i’m 108 and 5’5.
My breasts, thighs, lower legs, and even around my hip bones. They’re not little spider veins. they’re big blue veins that around my hips you can see curving around and its really strange. i can see the veins in my wrists go from half way in my palm all the way to a my GIANT elbow vein. all the way up my lower arm. that’s so nasty.
but why all of a sudden? should i be worried?

also, on the back of my hand, the veins are so visible that if i press down on it, pull towards the knuckle, then release the pressure, you can SEE (actually see) the blood rush back through the vein.
and i’ve worked up a little tan from tennis. i’m not super super pale.

Okay, so I’m in physical therapy for my left should and on the 4th the pt had me riding the bike and i felt this pain on the right side of my back, like right where the should ends i think. Last week I started Tennis, again, and my right shoulder was a little sore.
Other symptoms, I’m not sure if they go along with this or not: really bad headaches, a tingling in my right elbow (which i know most likely is something with nerves), pain/tingling in right shoulder, a sharp pain in my right forearm and i get tingling in both of my knees, mostly my left though.
Thanks…I went to my doctor today and she told me it was some muscle but she ignored the whole tingling in my knee which really annoyed me because even if its not connected to this its still a problem but whatever Thanks!!

My father recently has experienced pain in his elbow. He says that there is pain at the meeting joints of the humerus and radius. He says it only hurts in the muscle; his skin is fine. He does not know whether his bone is damaged or not however. He says he may be experiencing tennis or golf elbow. Nevertheless, I would like to make sure. Finally, are there any cures or homemade remedies? He wants to see a doctor but is lacking the money. Is there anything that can lessen the pain or cure it? Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

I need to gain muscle as well, because muscle is needed for tennis. I have my diet down, but does anyone have any exercise plans for me? Thanks in advance!

Basically I was doing some exercise on my biceps and I haven’t done them before, but my arms are aching now, and this is on the 2nd day after I was doing that exercise.

What happens if I play tennis when the muscles on my arms are aching? I played yesterday for like 15 minutes and could that be why my muscles are aching today as well now?

Are you meant to rest them? Will playing like 15 minutes of tennis make it worse at all?

I understand that you can over-exercise, but I love tennis and like playing every single day for a couple hours. I’m going to do a clinic for four hours five days a week, but I doubt it’ll be super intense, with half hour to one and a half hour lessons pretty much every day, and then other classes I can go to. If I eat well, sleep well, and take naps and breaks throughout the day, is that okay? I’m also 15, and healthy, if that makes how much activity I can stand any different.

I dont play tennis or do anything but type and use a mouse and do normal activities. I do occasionally do some light weight workouts but that’s even hard, now. How much rest is actually needed. I don’t want to lose muscle tone.

Hi, I’m currently a freshman in high school, and I have never competed in a school sport before. However, since I realized that I do not get enough exercise, and that varsity sports look good on a college app, I should try out for the team next year. Because I’m pretty good at badminton, I think tennis would be a good fit for me. I know most of the rules from watching TV, but when I play, I ricochet the ball this way and that every now and then. What would you recommend that I do this summer so that I might be able to make varsity tennis next year? Any tips are appreciated.

3rd preview of the incoming “Tennis Elbow 2009″ tennis game from www.managames.com . This preview features the new ball physics, as well as the new 3D female players, and some part of the new gameplay. The AI in it is very _BASIC_ and is surely not the final one..! Its goal and purpose is just to send the ball again and again.

I am trying to find something to multi task: an exercise that will occupy my time, help me learn something new and exciting, and would not be too pricey. Is tennis a good idea for a 34 year old? Or would my other option, aikido (which I already have some experience in), be a better idea?

I cycle a lot and have been doing more leg exercises, but surely i will need to go on the treadmill again and do some cardio . . . .or is this not the way. Is there another machine to use that really sculpts the legs – spinning classes maybe. Also I wanted to start squash and tennis again, maybe football. Something to get them into shape – can I really just rely on treadmill?

thanks

I used to be a gymnast ,but I switched over to tennis about 4 years ago. I am just looking for some good ways to get those muscles back again. Tennis doesn’t really stress that as much.

I used to play tennis twice a week and soccer on saturdays, but i had to stop because it was getting in the way of things. Now i put on some weight, and I can’t go back to my regular schedule of tennis and soccer.
How do I lose the weight without them and going to the gym?
