i’ve been having elbow pain for the last two years, possibly from me working at the shipping department at sears, and having two heavy objects fall on me, and me trying to lift them up myself. i have had several xrays, three MRIs, one with nuclear medicine, a few physical therapies, and one cortisone injection, and the doctors can’t figure out whats wrong with it. nothing comes up on the MRIs or xrays. the pain comes and goes, and sometimes it feels like it expands all throughout my elbow, but it does not radiate anywhere, its a centralized pain. i’m thinking it might be tendinitis, but i’m not sure. the doctors have ruled out tennis elbow, because my pain doesn’t radiate to my hand. does anyone else have this condition or maybe know something about it? thanks in advance.

I’ve had tennis elbow for some time now from military training. I’m out of the service now, and have rested my bicep for 8-10 weeks doing physical therapy and all the necessary things, but it’s still just as bad. Please do not recommend medical treatments (i.e. cortisone or resting). My question is if anyone knows of bicep/shoulder workouts that do not put too much strain on my elbows. Curls seem to only worsen them, and shoulder press is out of the question. Any WORKOUT ideas will be greatly appreciated, as not being able to lift weights and only doing cardio has caused me to lose nearly all of my hard earned muscle mass. Thanks in advance.
Correction: I’ve rested my elbows, not just biceps.

I need to gain muscle as well, because muscle is needed for tennis. I have my diet down, but does anyone have any exercise plans for me? Thanks in advance!

I was getting off the bus today and it was raining very bad. The steps are plastic and were wet, as I was stepping down, I slipped and fell on my elbow. My elbow immediately started to bleed uncontrollably. My whole right arm looked like a scene from "Saw" by the time I got home. I washed it up, applied some Neosporin, and put a band-aid on it. I really wanted to go to the swimming pool since it first opened. But I can’t, I know delicate things like this take time, but I just need a crude timeframe of when it might heal. Thanks in advance for all your help… By the way, it looks like a chunk of skin was torn off when I looked at it. My friend described it as, "a hole in my elbow…"
I can still use it. I can’t bend it too much before it starts to hurt (I think that’s because of the band-aid). I’ll take it off and see how my arm does. I’m sure it’s not broken, or else I’d be in excruciating pain.

On Wednesday, I worked out for the first time in a couple months. I didn’t stretch very well afterwards because I was in a hurry. Yesterday I was pretty sore as expected, but this morning the muscles around my elbows are killing me. I can’t even extend my arms all the way out.

First of all, how do I know if it’s just sore or if I actually hurt myself?

Second, what is a good way to deal with this? Do I try stretching a bit now, or will that hurt it more? Will pain killers help until my muscles heal?

Thanks in advance.

For the last several weeks I’ve had a sore right elbow that is very tender and a little bruised looking but I don’t recall hitting it. I also press on it and I can put an indentation in it like you can when your ankles are swollen.

Thanks in advance for your answers. :)

Every time I go to jab/right cross, I hyper extend my elbow. Is there anything I can do to prevent this, and jab/right cross normally?

Thanks in advance.

It started earlier today. It’s just the forearm to the wrist, like starting by the elbow but on the inside of the arm. It feels sore, the pain goes if I don’t move it at all. I haven’t done anything vigorous and I’m not suffering from any sort of cold or flu at the moment. Any pointers as to what’s wrong with it? I don’t see any swelling or redness – everything looks fine on the outside.

Thanks in advance.
hi claudia, it is just my right arm…
What are the specific symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome?

Well somehow my elbow bone is weird, it’s like sticking out and when I play basketball, football, or swim, it hurts on my inner forearm and inner arm. I got it in both arms. I think this happened because I started to workout and did several push ups a day. I’m not really sure what I have but I think it might be Tendinitis. I’ve had this for months now, and I want to workout again but every time I lift something heavy it hurts. I went to the doctor and she told me my tendons were messed up and I had to take Advil and rest until I recover. Is there any other thing I could do to help my elbow? Like some exercises or any equipment that could help support my bone? Thanks in advance.

I woke up a few days ago and my elbow was killing me. I waited a day thinking I must have done something when I was sleeping to hurt it. But its been like 3 days and I cant use my left arm without feeling a really strong pain in the elbow. I am thinking I have not done any sports in a few weeks and I did not hit my elbow into anything and its not the way I sleep so why is my elbow hurting me? Thanks in advance.
well then if I have not done any sports have not hit it in any way and did not injure it during the night then what would cause the pain?

I have tennis elbow and would like to try some magnetic therapy on it. I have a bunch of small but powerful refrigerator magnets that I would like to wrap against the elbow, but I’m not sure how to space them or which side makes contact with the skin. Is it the side that sticks to the fridge door or the one that is repelled?

thanks in advance to anyone who can shed some light here..

I have a dr’s appt on tuesday, and I’m not using this for medical advice, but the last couple weeks I’ve had problems with both my hands going numb, and it’s hard to “wake them up”. Also, my right arm is KILLING me. The elbow area and upper arm area.

IDK what it is, it could be a pinched nerve, it could be carpal tunnel, it could be tennis elbow. I guess i’ll find out tuesday, but the only way I can describe the pain in my right arm is…sciatica on both sides of my arm, into my pinky & thumb. anyone else have these symptoms?

I’m wondering if i’ll have to see a specialist, i’m just in a ton of pain, so i’m going to stop typing & ice my elbow.

Thanks in advance!

I want my tennis elbow to heal, and I am wondering if anyone with the proper medical knowledge can please tell me how long it is going to take? I am so sick and tired of this agonizing pain, because I am not able to live a normal life because of my tennis elbow.

Thanks in advance!
